National Network of Mental Health Promotion Practitioners (NNMHPP)

National Network of Mental Health Promotion Practitioners (NNMHPP)

The National Network of Mental Health Promotion Practitioners is a new community of practice for anyone working in the field of mental health promotion in Australia.

Mental health promotion focuses on three main outcomes:

  • Promoting mental wellbeing (aka good or positive mental health)
  • Preventing the onset of mental health conditions (aka primary prevention)
  • Building mental health literacy to support help-giving and help-seeking for mental health conditions and suicidal ideation.

The Network meets via Zoom every second month to help people build their professional networks, share information and ideas, and participate in continuing professional development activities.

Through this informal network we hope to recognise the unique skills and expertise of people working in this specialist field of practice, and advance the field of mental health promotion in Australia.

The network is free to join and open to any individual in Australia working on these issues regardless of their professional background.

Our hope is to create a cross-disciplinary community of individuals with qualifications in community development, health promotion/public health, psychology (clinical, positive, community, educational, health, organisational), social work, or other relevant area relating to mental health promotion.

If you would like to join the network, fill out your contact details below
